SolarSaver and Sigenergy drive capex-free energy independence across Namibia

Southern African solar solutions provider SolarSaver, solar technology manufacturer Sigenergy, and distributor SIAAC are working in partnership to accelerate the shift to renewable energy for businesses across Namibia. This strategic alliance leverages SolarSaver's capex-free "rent the sun" model alongside Sigenergy's advanced energy storage technology. The partnership has rapidly expanded its footprint across Namibia, currently managing over 100 sites equipped with 2,132 separate devices, delivering 5.41 MW of inverter capacity and 16.03 MWh of robust battery capacity. These high-performance installations span diverse and critical industries, empowering lodges in the hospitality sector like Erindi, agricultural hubs like Gras Farming, retail operations including 32 sites for Metro UPS systems, and industrial facilities such as the Moncha Trading Abattoir and Desert Essentials.

In the hospitality sector, SolarSaver and Sigenergy are taking remote lodges off-grid. The impressive off-grid solar PV installation for the Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch perfectly showcases this capability. Featuring a 300kW inverter setup, 960kWh of lithium battery storage, and 400kWp of ground-mounted solar panels, the system ensures reliable energy independence in the isolated Kalahari dunes.
